Barone played in the fourth season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham an executive chef, who was looking for Elaine Benes shoes. The early 1990s saw her was a regular on the cast of Carol & Company with actress Carol Burnett. Barone also played her wife, Carol Willick Ross Geller in Friends' first episode. The show ended her time as she wanted to pursue an additional full-time job. She was replaced with Jane Sibbett. Barone was for The Jeff Foxworthy Show during the initial season (1995-1996) and The War at Home between 2005 and 2007. Barone was co-starring alongside Daddio in 2000. Her television credits include Desperate Women Curb Your Enthusiasm Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not Disturb Ally McBeal Caroline and the City Party of Five The Larry Sanders Show. The film she acted in, One Last Ride earned her the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Methodfest in 2005. In 2010 three years since The War at Home ended it's running time, Barone started her role as a recurring character on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up as officer Georgia Jones the mother of Bella Thorne's character CeCe Jones. Matthew Glave played J.J. Jones, the former husband of Barone's character in two episodes.
